Chris Wyse - The Power of Bass Guitar, Yoga and Being Present

Julkaistu 4.7.2018

Let's drop some band names: Hollywood Vampires, Ace Frehley, The Cult, Owl The Band

Chris Wyse has been a bass player in all the bands mentioned above and some other projects as well. He is a passionate and intense bass player who finds his strength in tranquility.

He is definitely not a rock star with health or mental problems. Instead of messing his head with alcohol and drugs Chris is finding inner peace by studying and staying in the present.

Chris does yoga three times a week and reads books like The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle and Power of Positive Thinking by  Dr Norman Vincent.

No more words needed to describe his mindset, just watch the episode and then you'll understand and there's a great change to learn from Chris as well.

We had our conversation just before the Hollywood Vampires show on backstage in rock festival so there's some background noise. Please don't let the audio quality disturb you too much, there's really great content on this talk!

Julie Collas - How a Lawyer Became a Comedian

Julkaistu 9.6.2018

Julie has a crazy humorist one-woman show in Paris which she built from scratch just by herself. Her story is quite amazing to be hones. How an earth a lawyer turned to be a comedian!?

Julie worked 14 years in the legal department in the U.S though she was never really enjoying her life as a lawyer. She has always had a comedian blood inside her and she was making all kinds of crazy pranks and jokes while working in a serious business as a lawyer. These gags almost got her fired a couple of times but also made her colleges enjoy their time more at the office.

When her friend died in the horrible Bataclan attack in 2015 she decided that life is too short to just drift away. After she quit her job and started writing. While writing about Parisian women her eyes opened for more ideas, building her own theatrical act. Now she has her own show Oh My God She's Parisian. The amazing part is that she really built her show without any knowledge about acting or making a show! And guess what, she is performing in english! Besides acting in her one-woman show she is a founder of Dearest Paris Production company.

But building her own unique performance and company has not been an easy task! On the way some of her old friends have turned their backs on her and she has suffered from insomnia. Still she has been able to push through all the resistance and has made a living out of her show.

Rich Lyons - F#CK You Political Correctness

Julkaistu 22.4.2018

One evening I was watching Stand Up comedy in Apollo night club when it suddenly hit me! Stand up on stage hmm..what if the audience doesn't get your jokes and people don't laugh? On the contrary how does it feel when everyone in the audience is laughing and enjoying the performance? How does real laughter effect people? I realised that if somebody know about these experiences that somebody must be a Stand Up comedian.

I got great answers for these questions when comedian Rich Lyons sat down with me and shared his experiences.

Rich Lyons was born and raised in New York and ended up in Finland two decades ago. Rich is an actor, writer and a musician who accidentally was pushed to do Stand Up comedy. After the first humiliating experience on stage he pushed forward and has been performing as a Stand Up comic ever since. Rich did a show in Eurovision song contest being the first comedian in Finland who performed in Hartwall Arena and was a runner up in London Fringe New Comedy competition.

Now it's finally time to grow apart from old habits and jump to the next level of human performance! I'm really happy that I've been able to find people like Samuel Haanpää who are step by step ripping that old rotten ideology in pieces.

Samuel is a co-founder in SAHA Training Company where the key elements are individualistic coaching and the combination of body, mind and skills. As I mentioned above you are never too old to improve your skills as an athlete or as an individual and that's the reason lot of older athletes use SAHA's training methods.
Samuel has played basketball in three different continents and he is still strongly in the game. When I asked him why he is still playing the answer was simple. Samuel keeps playing because he knows that he can still improve his skills as a player.
